More about AIO:
Now in its 37th year, AIO (Area Interfaith Outreach) has grown to become Knox county’s largest non-profit focused on addressing food and energy insecurity. It serves about 13.5% of the county’s population from its self-serve market, as well as through weekend meals for school students, home delivery, satellite shelf units, diapers, and payments for energy expenses. The organization’s growing budget is funded through annual financial donations and in-kind contributions from a generous and supportive community, along with institutional grants. The new director will have the opportunity to build on AIO’s strong record of service and extend its outreach to the citizens of Knox County.
