PRESS: Art Auction for Rockland's AIO Opens Sept. 17 at Page Gallery
The fifth annual ArtFeeds exhibition and online auction opens Thursday, Sept. 17, at Page Gallery in Camden, with 39 wooden platters and bowls turned at the Maine State Prison in Warren and decorated by Maine artists, students and correctional system residents. Proceeds benefit Rockland-based AIO, a food and energy assistance nonprofit.
"Every year it's amazing," said Alan Kearl, AIO's executive director. "The wooden bowls arrive from the prison looking exactly the same, and when they come back from the artists they all look so different."
