Pick Up Food. Give It Away.

A special fundraising effort to buy a food transport vehicle for AIO.

The amount of food AIO can provide to individuals and families in Knox County, Maine, is limited only by the amount of food we can acquire. With this van, we anticipate we can significantly increase our food intake, and provide delivery service to homebound individuals.

Reducing food waste by recovering edible food is our highest priority. Our partners, including farms and supermarkets, hate to waste food but often they do not have the means or the labor to deliver food to our food pantry. This vehicle solves many logistical problems…all at once.

We look forward to making this truck a reality to serve the families in our community and as a way to honor Joe Ryan for his years of leadership. Thanks to generous grants from the Hannaford Foundation and Good Shepherd Food Bank we are off to a great start!

Thanks to these great sponsors for their leadership gifts. Look for their logos incorporated into our final vehicle design!

Help us reach our goal of $60,000 to buy a food transportation vehicle.

$33,750 raised so far…

$26,225 to go!

Our goal is to raise the remaining funds by June 1, 2024.
