Thank you to everyone who came out to our recent Strand event—panel discussion and film screening!

We hope you enjoyed the discussion and learned more about the important work that we have been going over the last 35 years, supporting residents of Knox County with food and energy assistance. With recent federal budget cuts for SNAP, Medicaid, and support for Maine’s Healthy Meals program, and a reduction in TEFAP and the elimination of the LPFA25 support for small local farms, AIO faces a perfect storm of increased demand and reduced supply.

We are working with community partners to prepare for this “storm.” This isn't the first, nor will it be the last AIO faces.
