“Pies on Parade is an amazing community event, giving all of us who have been pent up all winter a chance to get out, perhaps discover some new businesses and of course enjoy great culinary treats along the way. We anticipate that the funds raised will support the needs of AIO's food programs and the 2,300 people each week who rely on them through the balance of winter and into spring. Thank You PoP participants!" shares AIO Executive Director Alan Kearl. “We would like to thank Machias Savings Bank, LimeRock Inn, First National Bank Wealth Management and Hazel’s Take Out for their sponsorship support! Thank you as well to the 51 pie stops and many volunteers who will make this weekend memorable.”
“At Machias Savings Bank, we are proud to sponsor the Pies on Parade fundraiser for AIO,” shares Lisa Gundel, Machias Savings Bank, Rockland Branch Manager. “This event supports essential programs such as Food Assistance, Heating Assistance, and Diaper Assistance. These programs are vital to ensuring that our community members have access to necessary resources. We believe in the power of collaboration, as together we help create thriving communities.”
“LimeRock Inn was one of the founders of Pies on Parade more than 20 years ago and we also worked hard to bring it back after the COVID pandemic,” shares Sean Padgett, owner of the Limerock Inn.”Supporting AIO to provide food and heating assistance is our way of contributing back to a community that has supported LimeRock Inn for more than 30 years.”
