4th Annual ArtFeeds Exhibition & Silent Auction Celebrates with 40 Artists
The exhibition will runs from September 6–13
at Page Gallery in Camden
We are excited to announce the names of artists participating in our 4th Annual ArtFeeds exhibition and online silent auction, taking place September 6-13, 2025 at Page Gallery in Camden.
The event will showcase a collection of wooden bowls and platters (new this year) shaped and donated by Maine State Correctional Facility’s industries program, and decorated by well-known Maine artists. Each artist interprets sharing food and fighting food insecurity in their creative style on each bowl. In the first three years the ArtFeeds event has raised more than $82,000 in support of AIO's four programs: Market, Energy Assistance, Weekend Meals, and Diapers.
The exhibition will open on Saturday, September 6th at Page Gallery. The online silent auction also opens on September 6th and runs the length of the exhibition, culminating with a reception on Saturday, September 13, 4–7 pm at Page Gallery. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
“The harsh reality of food insecurity is greater this year than in our recent past. With changes in Federal support programs, many of our neighbors will need to make hard choices between food and medical attention, or food and staying warm and safe. ArtFeeds is a timely example of the community coming together to help those experiencing food insecurity. I invite you, the public, to join Page Gallery, the Maine Department of Corrections, and the more than 40 participating artists this year, and AIO to help those in need,” says Alan Kearl, AIO Executive Director.
“Art Feeds has grown into an event that artists and bidders alike look forward to each year” says Colin Page, owner of Page Gallery. “These artists recognize the great work done in our community by AIO. Each of us is eager to help raise awareness and funding toward increased food and energy security among our neighbors. I'm happy that the gallery can play a role in such an impactful event through exhibiting and auctioning off all of the artists' work.”
“Our partnership with AIO is important to me and our team,” shares Randall Liberty, Commissioner of the Maine State Corrections. “Many of us were raised in food insecure homes. We are committed to assist in combating this problem. At the Maine Department of Corrections, we work with the residents in our care to produce thousands of pounds of organic produce and baked goods which we share with our communities. What could be more redeeming than assisting our fellow Mainers during these challenging times?
The Maine Department of Corrections operates within a framework of transforming lives. We believe in rehabilitation, supportive intervention, and the reduction of stigma. We believe in being of service to the community. Our teams bake, grow and harvest thousands of pounds of food specifically for the benefit of those food insecure in the mid coast. The normalized shopping experience at AIO reduces stigma and ensures that food is accessible for all. We are honored to participate in the strengthening of our communities through the redeeming act of giving.”
