We’re getting our art hat on!

For the next four weeks AIO is "Getting its Art hat on" as we roll from Back to School backpacks and supplies to our 4th annual ArtFeeds fundraising event. ArtFeeds officially kicks off with a Page Gallery opening on September 6th.
More than 40 bowls will be on display this year, all by local artists.
Bidding will start at 12:01AM and end at 5pm on Saturday, 13 September when there will be a reception at the Page Gallery. Several bowl artists will be on hand for the fast and furious bidding that will end the auction.
But wait a minute! We’re getting ahead of ourselves. The program starts in April when the Maine State Prison woodworking industries makes 40+ bowls available to AIO.

By May, through a juried process, the artists are selected and the bowls distributed. During June and July we get to peek inside a few studios to see how the work is coming along.
By early August the bowls are completed and turned in.

AIO is a proud partner with The Maine State Prison, Page Gallery in Camden and about 40 local artists to bring to the community high quality, collectible works of art, and the proceeds are used to feed our Knox County neighbors through AIO's varied food programs. ArtFeeds shows how everyone can support AIO no matter their talent or expertise. We hope to raise around $45,000 from this year's ArtFeeds event. This fundraiser has become one of AIO's signature events of the year.
