An Announcement from Alan

A personal announcement…

Dear AIO Supporters,

I hope that your summer is going well. I talk to and see many of you regularly, but sadly not everyone.  

I am writing to share that after 55 years of W2s and 1099’s it is time for me to shift gears. I plan to retire this fall and the AIO Board has graciously accepted my resignation. My nearly 3 years at AIO has been the most rewarding of my long professional career and I attribute this to the inherent satisfaction of serving others, but also to YOU! The AIO community is sensitive to the needs of their neighbors, has the ability to do something about it, and is motivated to do it. Collectively you make AIO a great place. Thank you for your generous support of AIO which ensures we continue to help the families that come to AIO for assistance. It has been a true pleasure to get to meet and know many of you during my tenure as Executive Director. It’s been amazing to see AIO continue to be a community hub for many — members, volunteers, donors, board, staff and members of the community. As we say, Together is Better — I’m proud of all that we’ve accomplished together these last years. 

Rest assured that AIO's mission and ethos will continue with or without me, as it has for the past 36 years. I'll be around until the fall as the AIO Board conducts a full search. It will likely take awhile to find the right person and get them onboard and trained.

I hope and look forward to the opportunity to engage with you before I “step off the stage”.
