AIO Food & Energy Assistance In The News
Visit our News & Events page to learn more about AIO events and volunteer opportunities.

Food and energy insecurity are issues that impact many of our neighbors in our Knox County community.
Feeding America estimated that 179,680 Mainers are experiencing hunger. Knox County has the 12th highest food insecurity rate in the state, with food insecurity at 11.9% of all residents. Food insecurity among children is even higher at 17.6%.
Our members are welcome to visit the AIO market and select the best food for their family. We encourage shoppers to visit us first before they go grocery shopping to see what we have available. For many, visits to our market can save members enough money to help meet monthly expenses and make ends meet.
Your support makes an immediate impact.
Each of us can make a difference!
Together we can have a positive impact on our neighbors’ lives.
Please consider supporting AIO, and in turn helping our neighbors affected by food and energy insecurity. Your gift helps us ensure anyone in Knox County who needs help receives it.
