Our Heating Assistance Voucher program provides our clients with a little extra help when household budgets are tight.
The AIO Heating Assistance program aims to provide 100 gallons of heating product (one time per household between October-March). We work directly with the heating companies who accept our vouchers.
We encourage our clients to also sign up for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) program which is a separate program and is administered by Penquis. LIHEAP provides additional fuel support during the cold winter months.
Clients and vendors must both be in Knox County, Maine.
Vouchers must be issued in person at the pantry Monday, Wednesday or Friday mornings 9:30-11:30am.
We may also be able to prevent electricity or water disconnections (client must show a disconnection notice from the utility company. Or, we be able to help with a security deposit for a new apartment (we work directly with the landlord).
