The Food Pantry follows a client-choice model where our clients are partnered with a volunteer shopper. Together, they shop our shelves choosing which food items the household would enjoy.
The AIO Food Pantry is located at 70 Thomaston Street in Rockland.
Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am to 12:00pm and Wednesday 5:00-6:30pm.
The household may come for food once per calendar month.
The amount of food provided is based on the size of the family, enough for about three days. We usually can provide frozen meat, fresh produce, baked goods, eggs, certain dairy items, plus canned and boxed food from the shelves.
We follow a client-choice model at the food pantry which provides the opportunity for our clients to choose their own food. This gives our clients a sense of dignity and control, limits waste (since they tend not to take food they won’t use), and allows our clients to tailor the help they receive to be the best possible fit for their own unique situation. We do our best to have gluten-free items available as supplies allow.
